Are your kids getting a bit bored of being back at school? No matter how old your child is, this autumn could be the perfect time to encourage them to join an after school club and try something new.

Having a regular hobby is about more than just keeping occupied after school; joining a new club, team or trying something different can be the perfect opportunity to make new friends, develop new skills and build up confidence. Finding something affordable that your kids are interested in can be difficult, but introducing a new after school activity can add a bit of fun to the new school year.

And it’s not only the kids that benefit! Joining a club is a brilliant way to meet other parents in your area and may even act as an alternative to child care for one or two nights a week if you’re busy at work or with chores.

Some after school clubs in Wales do come with a price tag, and god knows that membership fees or course costs can stack up! To find the best free or cheap opportunities for your kids, we recommend you talk to other parents and keep an eye out at school or community centres for the most pocket –friendly classes and clubs.
