About Flintshire Families First

Families First in Flintshire provides support to families with children who are facing difficulties, especially to those experiencing low-income and poverty issues.

Families First is all about providing different types of support to the whole family depending on what your needs are. They do this through projects, activities and training that is organised by parts of the council, charities and other organisations.

You’re likely to first encounter Families First through what’s called the Team Around the Family and the Family Information Service.

Who is this for?

Families with children and young people aged between 0 and 25 years who have a number of different additional needs, but whose difficulties are not serious enough to involve social services.

If you’re not eligible for Families First, there may be other services available to you. Please contact FIS Flintshire to find out more.
