About Flintshire Flying Start

Flying Start is a programme from the Welsh Government to help families with children under 4 years of age in certain areas of Flintshire.  The aim is to support parents with children under 4 to help them give their child the best possible start in life.

The core services provided are:

  • Part-funded half day childcare for 2-3 year olds
  • Intensive health visiting
  • Parenting support
  • Language & play / number & play support for parents & children

Who is this for?

The programme is run in Higher Shotton, Bagillt, Holway, Sandycroft, Garden City, Connah’s Quay’s Central, Bryn Gwalia in Mold, Flint and Holywell Central, Greenfield, Queensferry, Mancot and Connah’s Quay’s Golftyn.
