About Neath Port Talbot Flying Start

Flying Start is a Early Years Government Funded Programme for families of children under 4—including free playgroup places for 2-3 year olds for 2½ hours, 5 days a week.

The Flying Start Team organise:

  • Health Visitor Home Visits
  • Educational Psychologist Advice
  • Behaviour & Language Support Clinics

  • Family Support At Home
  • Speech & Language Home Sessions
  • School Readiness Course
  • Parent Elklan Course
  • Baby Massage

Who is this for?

Flying Start is available to all eligible children and their families in certain postcodes within the following areas: Aberafan; Sandfields; Briton Ferry; Brynhyfryd; Fairyland; Melin; Abergwynfi; Blaengwynfi; Croeserw; Cwmavon; Cymmer; Glyncorrwg; Taibach; Glynneath; Pontardawe; Rhydyfro; Skewen; Ystalyfera; Gwaun Cae Gurwen
