About Neath Port Talbot Families First

Families First provides different types of support to the whole family depending on what your needs are. The support available includes:

  • Services for family mental health and wellbeing
  • Young carers
  • Behaviour support
  • Services for children with disabilities
  • Youth services
  • Children’s play
  • Domestic abuse
  • Parenting support

You’re most likely to encounter the things Families First do through the Team Around The Family (TAF). TAF have got a rather nice video about what they do on the NPT Family YouTube channel.

The Families First programme is funded by the Welsh Government to help families who are facing difficulties.

Who is this for?

Families First in Neath Port Talbot supports families, children and young people up to 25 years living in NPT.

Neath Port Talbot Flying Start

Flying Start is a Early Years Government Funded Programme for families of children under 4—including free playgroup places for 2-3 year olds for 2½ hours, 5 days a week.
