About Newport Family Information Service

Newport FIS provides information for families who live or work in Newport, including:

  • help to search for childcare whether you have just had a baby, are returning to work or looking to stimulate your child’s social development
  • your child’s education options from 3 years old
  • financial assistance to support childcare costs
  • information and guidance on parenting and family support services

Newport FIS also provide childminder briefing sessions and a childcare training programme for people wanting to work or already working with children (Newport residents only).
