About Newport Flying Start

If you live in a Flying Start area with a child under 4 years of age you are entitled to parenting support.  You can access funded part-time childcare for 2-3 year olds, parenting support, an enhanced Health Visiting service and support for your child’s speech, language and communication.

We provide a range of different services for your family to give your child a flying start in life – getting them ready to start school, developing their language, emotional, physical and social skills.   We offer health support, parenting groups, early language support and funded part-time childcare.

Who is this for?

Flying Start areas include parts of Allt-yr-yn, Alway, Bettws, Duffryn, Gaer, Lliswerry, Maesglas, Maindee, Malpas, Pillgwenlly, Ringland and Somerton.
