About Powys Family Information Service

The Family Information Service (FIS) provides free and impartial advice and information on a wide range of childcare options and activities for children aged 0-25, their families and carers.

This includes information on day nurseries, registered childminders, out of school clubs, pre-school playgroups and parent and toddler groups.

They also provide support and advice on a range of other issues including paying for childcare, working in childcare and accessing holiday childcare.

FIS in Powys is part of the single point of access for children, young people and families known as Powys People Direct.
