About Rhondda Cynon Taf Families First

Families First supports families on low incomes to help them provide the best possible environment for their children so they can achieve their potential.

Every county in Wales has a Families First programme and the aims are to:

  • Help low income families find and keep jobs and develop their skills.
  • Help children, young people and families to reach their potential.
  • Ensure children, young people and families are healthy, safe and enjoy well-being
  • Encourage families to be nurturing and resilient
