About Rhondda Cynon Taf Supporting People Programme

Supporting People in Rhondda Cynon Taf can help you if you are at risk of becoming homeless by offering emergency accommodation.  We can also find you a place in supported housing if you need to build your confidence and develop daily living skills to live independently.

If you have your own home, we can provide floating support where we work together with other services to help you to:

  • Create a safe, comfortable and secure home
  • Manage money and making ends meet
  • Inform other people and specialist services about your needs and difficulties
  • Remain safe in your neighbourhood
  • Get out and about
  • Build and maintain friendships
  • Train, find and access a job and job opportunities
  • Find learning and leisure opportunities
  • Keep active and healthy
  • Improve your housing conditions and living environment
  • Use domestic appliances and household equipment

Who is this for?

Supported People may be able to help you if you need support because you:

  • have a disability, poor mental health or are struggling to cope because
    you are a young person
  • have been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless
  • have experienced a domestic crisis or domestic abuse
  • have been in prison or are leaving a care facility
  • have had a period of ill health or hospitalisation
  • have experienced a significant life changing event or you are just struggling to cope with a change in your personal circumstances
