Communities First is set to be phased out. Alternatives to help communities around Wales are being considered. Now is a really important time to have your say on what comes next.

Decisions, decisions.

On Tuesday 11th October 2016, Carl Sargeant AM, the Communities and Children Secretary, announced plans to phase out Communities First in The Senedd. Read more on this in our special blog post here:

Communities First Will Be Phased Out

However, that’s not to say that Welsh Government is turning it’s back on poverty. Rather they are looking at other ways to tackle it across Wales.

And that’s where you come in.

As they make big plans that will affect communities all across Wales, they need the views of people all across Wales. This is to make sure that everyone has the chance to influence what comes next.

What sort of things are we talking about?

  • Should there be help for children in their early years?
  • What sort of help should there be to help people prepare for and find work?
  • How best should you be able to influence decisions that affect your community?
