About Wrexham Flying Start

Flying Start is the targeted Early Years programme for families with children under 4 years of age in certain parts of Wales.

The core elements of the programme are to influence outcomes for children and their families.

These include:

  • Free quality, part-time childcare for 2-3 year olds
  • An enhanced Health Visiting service
  • Access to Parenting Support
  • Early Language and Communication Support

Who is this for?

Flying Start is only available to parents living in certain postcode areas.

Your Health Visitor should inform you if you are eligible for support or you can find out more information through Wrexham FIS and other services available to you if you’re not eligible.

Supporting People commissions housing related support services to help those who need extra support to live independently and avoid the risk of becoming homeless.
